We went for a late summer holiday in Wells-Next-The-Sea on the North Norfolk coast. We rented April Cottage for the week, which was very nice and very well equipped.
Unfortunately we all fell ill with colds, but we made the most of it. We went for a trip on the North Norfolk Steam Railway, spent a lot of time playing at the local playground, made a few trips to the beach, and had quite a few coffees in the local cafes.
We went on a family “camping” holiday in the south of France with Gran and Grandad. We stayed in a very comfortable mobile home at the excellent Le Brasilia campsite in Canet Plage, near Perpignan.
Dad and I drove (about 1200km each way!), and Mum, Kathryn, and the girls flew down. On the way back we went for a drive through the middle of Paris.
The weather was excellent, the water was warm, and it was a fantastic break.
On our drive home from Perpignan we decided to do some sightseeing in Paris. We drove past the Eiffel Tower, around Place de la Concorde, up Champs Elysees, and around the Arc de Triomphe.
This is a clip of the Arc de Triomphe, the craziest roundabout in the world!
